Kelly Dern

Kelly is currently an interaction designer at Google, leading monetization and growth for the Video UX team (Google Meet, Duo and Livestreaming). She has previously worked with Google Nest on the hardware-software experience for the Nest cameras, led product/UX projects at several start-ups, done a lot of freelancing, product development at adidas, and marketing at Interscope Records. She is a (mostly) self-taught designer and enjoys any opportunity to learn news skills.

In a previous life, she worked on public relations with a focus in product launches for enterprise software. Outside of designing, Kelly has advised health tech start-ups that focus on chronic health solutions. She is also a teacher and mentor and currently mentoring with DesignLab.
