Designing in health is rewarding due to the great good success brings to clinicians and patients alike. However, there are many challenges that design is failing to address in healthcare. One of the biggest challenges is the manifestation of discrimination, whether it be innocent or deliberate. During his talk, Dr Gyles Morrison will explore the topic of health inequality, social determinants of health and how designers can positive change lives despite the existence of discrimination in its various forms.
